Physical examination
- Level of consciousness
- Vital signs: SpO2, respiratory rate, heart rate, blood pressure, temperature
- Use of accessory muscles of respiration
- Wheeze, audible and auscultatory
- Complicating features: anaphylaxis, pneumothorax, pneumonia
- Signs of alternative conditions, e.g. foreign body aspiration
- Peak Expiratory Flow Rate, PEFR, measurement, if available, in >5 years
